Starting January 1, 2010 the formation of a new World Record will be attempted.

I shall begin by compiling a comprehensive list of:

Territories

Countries

States

Cities

Towns

Villages

on Earth.

I will also compile a list of all of the vehicles of space travel and space stations for each country.

I will also compile a list of shipping companies and boating organizations who may have sailors who are musicians who may want to participate.

The EVENT:

I (with lots of help I hope) will coordinate the playing of a single song, by musicians from every village, town and city in every country & territory in the entire world.

An invitation will be also made to the crew and passengers in the space station and space vehicles, hence the name "The Largest Band In The Universe."

It will take 10 years to develop and implement the project.

The designated song will be very simple and consist of any and all instruments as long as they are tuned. The song must be rehearsed and played to the best ability of each musician.

The song will have no lyric, as at this time the band must be instrumental only, although a vocalists version of this same type of project would be great for someone else to coordinate.

The performance of the song will take place in the year 2020. Each musician or groups of musicians will perform in their own country, but all will perform at the exact designated time.
